Food is great. Its BYOB but they provide ice buckets for you to keep them cold.

Absolutely the best seafood on the island. Service was fantastic, place was clean and the food is fresh. Very casual and down to earth! What more can you ask for? Yummy!

We love it. We drive down 60 miles for lobster rolls & the best steamed mussels ever. In late summer fried tomatoes are added and it’s the best. Prices are reasonable, food excellent, seating needs more.

Ceasar salad was tasteless and watery. The tuna was miniscule

This man who works there was extremely rude to my Girlfriend. And me. There food is decent. But the service doesn’t make up for it. Definitely will not be going there again. If you can, avoid this place.

Great dinner well worth the wait. They told us it would be 45 minutes and it was almost spot on. We had the blackened scallops as an appetizer which were cooked perfectly. For our entrees we had the Baked Seafood Combination, one with the tuna for choice of fish and one with the salmon. The fish was great and the scallops, shrimp, baked lump crab cake along with sides were all delicious. I would highly recommend if you are in the Long Beach Island area.

Got the jumbo crab leg pate... juicy, sweet, and perfect. Also the garlic broccoli was impressive. Everyone in our party cleaned their plate and left incredibly happy. We brought home a key lime pie... texture was soooo smooth and nice tartness. Good crust too! I’d absolutely go here again.

My wife and I go to LBI once a month (from PA) on my day off from work during the week. We walk the beach in Ship Bottom, check out some shops, play some mini golf and before heading home, we always get dinner from the Ship Bottom Shellfish! THE BEST seafood on the island and any mainland restaurant! My go-to is always the grilled salmon with the Asian soy sauce (AMAZING). My wife loves the swordfish and the clams in garlic wine sauce. And you can't leave without getting a slice of their homemade warm Toll House pie (pictures below)! This place is the best. Everyone is so nice, friendly and even if there is a wait, it's SO WORTH IT! We'll be back in October for one more dinner before they close up for the season.

Pricey. $28 for three shrimps and crab meat. Taste of butter but no flavor.

Came here during the week and this place was packed! So we could have either waited 30+ minutes, or had the option to sit outside and have our food just brought out to us take-out style, which was totally fine for us. I enjoyed my crab cakes, but my bf wasn't a huge fan of the lobster roll. It was a little pricey, but what do you expect for for seafood down the shore. Wouldn't mind coming back again when we are down in LBI. Also wait staff was very friendly!

Very expensive, small clams even they serve just shells in the plate. And the lemonade was damage

The seafood bisque is STUPID good! The white fish in the fish and chips literally melts in your mouth and is seasoned perfectly. Oysters on the half shell were huge and flavorful. Iced tea is perfect. Blueberry cobbler - outstanding. Staff is friendly and attentive.

This restaurant rocks. Not only is it a fish market to buy stuff to take home to cook, eat in or the best part take out !!!! Prices are fair for the lots of food and quality. The crab cakes where loaded with meat. Absolutely worth the money. I give this place an A+. I spent $75.00 for two. Was worth every penny!!!!

Delicious! So many yummy options it was hard to choose. The mussels in wine and garlic sauce, the New England clam chowder and the crab cake sandwich were all amazing! And the service was fantastic also!

Food is great. Crab cakes are my fav. It gets a bit crowded, but sitting outside is great. Chelsea is an awesome server!!

Best seafood I've had in a while - since in Italy! We had halibut and cod, outstanding. Robust menu, courteous staff, reasonable prices. We sat outside at counter bcs of wait to sit inside, was enjoyable. Two night later, we went again, sat inside, had different entrees, just as delicious. We'll be back!

No comparison in terms of the quality of seafood. If you can find better lump crab cakes somewhere else, for example, good luck. But I don't think you will.

Placed a to-go order for pick up. Our food was ready when expected. Everything was well prepared and hot. The fried items were flavorful and not greasy.

We finally made it over to Ship Bottom Shellfish for dinner. We were meaning to go for such a long time, I'm happy we were able to get in! We started with the Thai calamari. Husband had the New England clam chowder and I had the seafood bisque. For our entrees, my husband ordered the blackened grouper topped with Mexican street corn (dinner special) and I had the fried seafood combination. All food and service was outstanding! Chose to do takeout during COVID on our first night of vacation. We called pretty late, so didn’t pick up our order until 9pm but it was worth the wait! We always make sure to get the bucket of mussels but you can’t go wrong with any of the seafood. Everything was fresh and very tasty.

The crab cake sandwich and fries was amazing. The service was really good too. Great lunch spot to sit outside.

Awesome seafood gumbo. Never a bad experience.

Extremely disappointed with our order1. The flounder wasn't prepared as ordered. We upgraded to onion rings instead of frys, to my surprise we only have 3 onion rings; must be a shortage. Crab cake was overcooked and burnt on the bottom side. Food was cold, we r only 2 blocks away,2. Soup was cold and runny, not good at all, threw it away.3. I won't continue with rest of purchase, u get the pictureFor the price of our order, not as expected.We won't order from here Anymore

I can’t wait to come back!! The food was delicious and fresh. The menu has a lot of options, and it’s a great serving size. Though we didn’t know it was BYOB, they should post that on the website, but there’s a liquor store nearby if you really want to get a drink.

The waitress was very pleasant and took our order quickly.. But her helper was a bit rude.. My fiancee ordered an ice tea with lemon, and it was delivered without lemon. He asked the guy for a slice of lemon and the bus boy brought it not on a plate or cup, but in his hand and placed it on the table.. They were both very attentive...(if you have cameras please check them out.. no need to lie)..BUT when it was time to pay.. my fiancee was counting the bill out and the guy said twice to him.. "I'm in no rush, take your time" and stood there.. that was very rude and very unprofessional..

A smaller, casual, and cozy seafood restaurant/fish monger. Extremely friendly and quick staff, and the food is delivered within seconds from the fryer to the table. A few parking spots in the back,and the rest room is around the corner of the restaurant.We stopped by for lunch and got seated immediately, but the set up of the restaurant with separate entrance and exit for larger lines suggests that it can get quite busy. We had a delicious crab/brie wrap, which was not only unusual, but also wonderfully fresh. Our standard test for a seafood place is fish and chips, and SBS delivered. The cod was fried to perfection. It was just at the point of being fully cooked before becoming flaky. Light, fluffy, not greasy, and a taste of fresh sea water. Probably the best we ever had. The fries, homemade tartar sauce and cocktail sauces as well as the fresh Cole slaw were spot on, too. We will come again!
